Bonanza Flyer

Bonanza Flyer – Bonanza is a small Italian-based supermarket store in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Founded in 1973, the first (no longer in operation) operating in Montréal-Nord, Quebec on Pie IX Street. From the late 1980s until the early 1990s, it operated at peak Bonanza eight locations, but all except store located in the municipality of Saint Leonard of Montreal are sold for IgA in 1997. Before buying Bonanza IGA locations, Buon Gusto is used as a brand in the store.

Bonanza store brand sees the day in May 1973, as Les Marches public Bonanza – located on Pie-IX Boulevard in Montreal’s north end. This is the initiative of Mr. Marcel Lalumiere who, as traders at the time, decided to create a supermarket that offered fruits and vegetables in large quantities in the over-sized tables, and a wide variety of food products on the shelves well- equipped. By the late 1980s and early 1990s, culminating Bonanza label of its popularity, with eight stores across the island of Montreal and Laval. Since November 1997, all efforts were concentrated on a shop located on Jean-Talon Street East. Bonanza has kept the character that originally defined it as a unique supermarket where a profusion of goods may be found under one roof.
